Dr. Matt Vaughan, Diplomate ACVIM
Dr. Matt Vaughan is originally from Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. He attended the University of California, Santa Cruz for his undergraduate schooling where he graduated with highest honors in 1997. After some well spent time traveling and exploring the world, he attended veterinary school at the University of California, Davis (UCD) and graduated in 2004. He then completed a one year small animal internship at Texas A&M University before returning to UCD for a small animal internal medicine residency between 2005 and 2008. At UCD, Dr. Vaughan served as chief resident during the third year of his residency. He recently earned his board certification from the American College of Veterinary Internal Medicine and has since joined Seattle Veterinary Specialists. Dr. Vaughan holds a special interest in endocrinology and spent much of his residency involved in research projects focused on canine Cushing’s disease and diabetes mellitus. He is well trained in and enjoys procedures such as cystoscopy, bronchoscopy, rhinoscopy, gastroduodenoscopy, colonoscopy, laser lithotripsy and laparoscopy. Dr. Vaughan is also recently engaged and has a wonderful family of 2 dogs and 2 cats.
