Dr. Dana Brooks, Diplomate ACVIM

Dr. Dana Brooks earned her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine degree at Mississippi State University in 1991. She completed an internship in small animal medicine and surgery at Veterinary Specialists of Rochester in upstate NY, then went on to complete her residency training in Internal Medicine at Michigan State University from 1992 to 1995. While at MSU she received a Resident of the Year award from the graduating class in 1995. Dr. Brooks earned her board certification from the American College of Veterinary Internal Medicine in 1996 and has worked in private specialty practices in Connecticut and upstate New York until joining Seattle Veterinary Specialists in November 2007. Dr. Brooks' areas of particular interest and experience include endocrine disease (Cushing's, Addison's, Diabetes Mellitus, Thyroid disease) and immune mediated diseases, especially those affecting the blood or joints. She has extensive experience with the chemotherapeutic treatment of lymphoma, and is well acquainted with endoscopic procedures (nasal, respiratory, and gastrointestinal) as well as ultrasonography and ultrasound guided minimally invasive procedure.
