Dr. Misseghers graduated from the University of Saskatchewan in Saskatoon in 1995, receiving his doctor of veterinary medicine degree with distinction. Following a one-year internship in general small animal medicine and surgery at the University of Prince Edward Island, he completed a three-year residency in small animal surgery at the University of Guelph in Ontario, Canada. Here he also received a doctor of veterinary science degree (DVSc) in 1999.
Dr. Misseghers became board certified by the American College of Veterinary Surgeons in 2001 and is a member of the American Veterinary Medical Association, American Animal Hospital Association, and the Washington State Veterinary Medical Association.
Dr. Misseghers and his wife, Laurelee, moved to the Seattle area in 1999 and enjoy the climate and geography of the Pacific Northwest. In their spare time they enjoy mountain biking, cycling and hiking.
