Dr. Engen graduated from the University of Minnesota in 1971. He served his internship at Rowley Memorial Animal Hospital, in 1972 and completed his surgical residency at Purdue University in 1974. He has been in private practice since 1974.
Dr. Engen has an emphasis on small animal general, neurologic and orthopedic surgery. His research interests are orthopedics, reconstructive and neurosurgery.
Dr. Engen became board certified by the American College of Veterinary Surgeons in 1978 and is a member of the American Veterinary Medical Association, the Washington State Veterinary Medical Association, the Veterinary Orthopedic Society and the Association for Veterinary Orthopedic Research and Education.
Dr. Engen lives in the Redmond area and enjoys fishing, hiking, skiing and other outdoor activities.
