Internal medicine encompasses several areas, including the ward, a separate oncology room and endoscopy. Endoscopes in two sizes allow use in various sized patients, and both still photos and video can be captured during the endoscopy for teaching and documention. A microscope is also equipped with a camera for capturing still photos of cytology. Equipment used during anesthetic procedures monitors heart rate, respiration, temperature and the blood oxygen levels.
